Harvest Accounting is a digital-first accounting firm that is passionate about streamlining operational finance, reimagining workflows, and identifying suitable add-ons and technology from the Xero app ecosystem to help small businesses win.

Meet the founders

Matthew phua

Matt, a Chartered Accountant with CAANZ, is the Founding Partner of Harvest Accounting. He loves being a growth partner to small businesses, using cloud accounting solutions and technology implementations to free up business owners to pursue their passions.

Originally from New Zealand, he has called Singapore home since 2014.

Aside from accounting, he enjoys home cooking and good cups of coffee, all things tech, and explores his creative side through photography.

On weekends he's most likely occupied entertaining his two baby girls.

Bryan zhao

Bryan is the Founding Partner of Harvest Accounting and a Chartered Accountant (Singapore) who believes in the power of small businesses to create big impact. He is passionate about connecting with fellow business owners to exchange growth ideas.

Bryan’s background is in corporate banking, and he hopes to use this experience to provide added value to clients.

A true maximiser at heart, he has a knack for finding the best deals, cashback, and miles accumulation strategies. To wind down, he enjoys a good red wine over heartfelt conversations with friends.

Our Story

Harvest Accounting began as an idea shared over coffee between two friends and has now grown to a team of more than ten, spread over three countries.

Harvest was founded in 2018 with the intention of building a firm fully in the cloud from day one, to offer the most efficient, delightful, and collaborative accounting tech solutions available to all clients, and to create a flexible "work from anywhere" environment for its founders and eventually the team.

The firm was a finalist in the "Emerging Accounting Partner of the Year – Singapore" category at Xero Awards Asia 2019, and nominated for "Asia Partner of the Year" at Receipt Bank awards 2020.

In 2022 we proudly achieved Xero platinum partner status. A testament to our dedication and expertise to cloud accounting technology.

Harvest was the winner of "Medium Accounting Partner of the Year" at Xero Singapore Awards 2023.
